  17. DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS, MACINTOSH INSTALLATION & PLAYBACK RECOMMENDATIONS:

  19. 1.  Drag icon "BJB Startup" or "BJB Startup/PPC" (for Power Macs only)  from the CD-ROM onto your hard disk and run it from there for best performance.
  20.  
  21. 2.  Before playing BJB for the first time, you must install QuickTime 2.5. included on this disc (if you do not already have it installed).
  22.  
  23. 3.  TURN OFF AppleTalk (and any NETWORKING) from within the Chooser.
  24.  
  25. 4.  TURN OFF Virtual Memory  (under Control Panels, Memory).  If you are using 
  26. RAM Doubler¬ (an extension from Connectix) or Virtual Memory (an option 
  27. found on the Memory Control Panel), for the best performance, you should 
  28. disable them and restart your Macintosh before playing BJB. 
  29.  
  30. 5.  Turn off unnecessary or unused Extensions and Control Panels.  They use 
  31. up valuable memory and are known to cause conflicts if too many or all are run 
  32. simultaneously.  Use Extensions Manager or other similar Startup Controller to 
  33. disable unwanted Extensions and Control Panels, or simply move them out of 
  34. the System:Extensions folder to a new folder named "Extensions (Disabled)".
  35.  
  36. 6.  Restart your Macintosh.
  37.  
  38. The "BJB Startup" application is a "fat binary" and runs on all Macintosh computers.
  39.  
  40. If you have a Power Mac, the startup file "BJB Startup/PPC" has been compiled for Native Power Mac (PowerPC) machines.

  42. RECOMMENDED MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
